House Siding

Most times when adding room additions to your house you
will continue with the type of siding you now have. But what
if you have a brick house? Brick is prohibitively expensive
& you do have alternatives like cedar shingles or aluminum
siding. It doesn't detract from the appearance of the house
& you can save a bundle of money.

Siding contractors will usually try to sell you insulation
backing under each piece of siding. They will tell you what
great savings will occur on your energy bill. Maybe. They
get a lot of money for, not much. You have to live a long
time to recoup the cost. If It was me I would take a pass &
spend the money some place else.

I have never been able to discern any difference in quality
or benefits between vinyl or aluminum siding. Choose the
color or design of either & you will be OK.
