Room Expansions

Extending or expanding an existing room is a very popular remodel.

Room additions are slightly different than a separate home addition.

Just about every homeowner wishes either the living room, bedroom, den, kitchen or bathroom was just a little wider or longer.

This photo is a example of a room extension.  Adding just a few feet of floor space makes an enormous difference in comfort & convenience to the family.

There are many pluses to this remodel but there is also a drawback. It is expensive in relation to the square feet added. This is because of the start-up costs involved in any major construction: Building plans, permits, interior reconstruction etc. (I explain this in detail in my books.)

However, these small additions add many thousands of dollars to the home value & obviously add to more graceful living for years to come.

Probably the most popular is extending a master bedroom &/or adding a bathroom. There are probably a few million homes built after the war that were small & built without a master bedroom bathroom. This home expansion solves the problem.
