Plumbing Fixtures
If I were going to replace my bathroom
fixtures I would use cast
iron fixtures instead of steel. Nothing wrong with steel fixtures,
of course but if you drop anything in the sink or tub you will
usually get a chip out of the enamel. Cast iron is more
expensive but is chip resistant.
Another item I would switch to would be a one piece bowl. They
are better looking & very quiet.
The rage today in tubs is the whirlpool tubs & I bet they are
really neat to sit in & have all that hot water swirling around. But
do people use them often enough to justify the cost? From
conversations I have had, it seems people try them a few times
& then never use them again. If you are one of those few
people who will be in it a few times a week then go ahead &
enjoy yourself. Think twice before laying out all that cash.
Unless you are expecting company in the shower or tub I would
save a few bucks with an over priced shower body. (Faucet)
They look great but who sees them? Better to spend a few
more dollars on ceramic tile, medicine cabinets or mirrors.
