Kitchen Cabinets Tips

There are a considerable number of people who buy kitchen
cabinets online that are custom made to fit their particular size kitchen
walls. Some of them come from as far away as Germany. I had
a competitor who developed a kitchen remodeling business
selling only cabinets online made in Europe. It was a very successful
business.
Personally, I never understood the lure of foreign made
cabinets. When I asked, I was told they would last longer & they
were "hand rubbed"   Hand rubbed????

So I started to tell my prospective customers that my cabinets
were "hand rubbed" (They were, I rubbed them every day) Well
, I started to sell more cabinets than I used to. People
responded to that phrase like magic. The image of someone
rubbing the surface of the cabinets to make them shine is
something that sells. I wonder how often the average housewife
hand rubs her cabinets after they are installed. My guess is, not
often at all.

As far as lasting longer goes, I doubt it. But people don't
replace cabinets because the old ones wore out anyway. It has
been my experience that people want new colors, finishes,
counter tops, appliances etc because they are tired of looking
at the old or maybe some of the hardware is missing & the kids
have crayoned several of the drawers.
Remember, don't buy new kitchen cabinets online unless they are "hand
rubbed"
