Looking for home addition plans? Sorry, but you will not find any useable building plans of value anywhere on the internet.

Here's why: Each home addition is custom built to your desired size & specifications. Any building plan that is submitted to the local building department must show structual detail specific to your house. You may find building plans similar to what you want to build but they will never be specific enough to your home to be accepted by the town engineer. Don't waste your money buying these plans.

So where are these plans? The answer is..... they do not yet exist. Only after you have decided on all of your specs can they be drawn. And many times redrawn again & again when you make changes before construction begins. If you are using a general contractor then he will (should) provide all the necessary plans & permits. (If he/she won't, I suggest you start looking for another contractor)

The best you are going to find is a suggested floor plan similar to what you want to build.
