Electric Advice
It has been my experience that homeowners who are remodeling their homes want to avoid the fact that electric
work is also included in the project.
There is almost always relocation of some existing wiring & relocation of existing outlets & switches.
Since most people do not understand, or even want to understand how it works, they tend to shun the subject.
Big mistake.
I am not suggesting you take a three month course in electric management. What I am suggesting is that you give
more thought & planning to your new outlets & switches.
Take a look around your house & I think I can guarantee you will find outlets you have never used
once since you have lived in the house.
Electric 101 teaches; Don't depend on the contractor to guess where your table lamps are going to be. Only you
know where the kitchen table is going to be placed.
Draw a simple map & give it to your friendly contractor. He will appreciate that you did & you are going
to be very happy that you have things exactly the way you want them.
If you don't the electrician will find the exact wrong location for you.
